Ocean County Code Blue

The Ending Homelessness Group serves as the Code Blue Logistics Coordinator on behalf of Ocean County, providing oversight and facilitating all official code blue sites operating in Ocean County.

2022 – 2023 Code Blue Season

For the 2022-2023 Code Blue Season, there are three sites operating in Ocean County. Code Blue is called into effect when temperatures are 32 degrees or lower on a given night. Notices about Code Blue activation are sent via email on a regular basis. To request access to the Code Blue mailing list, please send an email to ehg@oceanhpac.org. The code blue warming center locations for the 2022 – 2023 season are listed below. Please be sure to verify if code blue is activated prior to sending anyone to code blue sites.

2019 – 2020 Code Blue RFP

In preparation for the 2019 – 2020 Code Blue season, the Ending Homelessness Group is seeking information from community partners interested in providing Overnight and Daytime Warming Center Services to persons experiencing unsheltered homelessness this upcoming winter. All agencies interested in providing Code Blue Warming Center Services must complete the 2019 – 2020 Code Blue RFP and return to Taiisa Kelly via email by September 13, 2019. Successful implementation of Code Blue takes the collaborative efforts of agencies and volunteers throughout the community. In addition to space and volunteers for warming center activities, we look forward to partnering with agencies for additional services ranging from basic needs (food, clothing), transportation, professional support (case management, behavioral health services, employment assistance, substance abuse treatment services etc.), and other general support. If your agency is interested in lending support to the Code Blue efforts during the 2019 – 2020 season we ask you to please complete the survey linked below to identify the services you would like to offer during the upcoming Code Blue Season
