The primary goal of the HPAC is to coordinate the homelessness response system for Ocean County. HPAC coordinates will community services providers throughout Ocean County to better understand the community needs, and develop & implement strategies to end homelessness. As part of these efforts, HPAC manages the HUD Continuum of Care Process for Ocean County.
The HUD Continuum of Care program is both a planning process and a competitive funding application that provides funding to communities to implement programs that assist in efforts to end homelessness. The CoC process encourages broad community planning with key stakeholders in order to create a wide variety of programs and resources accessible to people experiencing homelessness.
To support Continuum of Care efforts, HPAC hosts bi-monthly planning meetings and an annual competitive application process to select projects eligible to receive funding through the HUD Continuum of Care Program. To learn more about the HUD Continuum of Care Program please visit the HUD Exchange.
